Demo Ride Etiquette

BMW Motorrad gives riders the amazing opportunity to try before you buy, allowing us as a BMW motorcycle dealership to select a handful of  motorcycles from our fleet and designate them as DEMO Bikes. This gives our customers the ability to select any one of those DEMO bikes and take them out for up to a half hour test ride, giving the rider a chance to not only see and feel how the motorcycle runs and handles but more importantly how they feel on it. In this article I hope to give riders all the demo ride information they need before they enter our shop so once in we can get them out riding as quickly and safely as possible.

1. Demo Ride Rider Requirements 
   • Rider must be of 18 years of age or older in order to test ride a motorcycle
   • Rider must have valid drivers license with motorcycle endorsement in order to test ride.
   • Rider must verbally attest to having health coverage on an Automotive or Motorcycle Insurance Policy
   • Rider must be willing to assume the full responsibility of or payment of up to $2500 should any damage occur regardless of the cause or fault
2. Demo Ride Gear Requirements 
   • Rider must have and wear a D.O.T. certified helmet at all times while on test ride.
   • Rider must have long pants.
   • Rider must wear closed toe shoes. While over the ankle coverage is recommended it is not requeued for a test ride.
   • Rider must wear sleaved shirt. Riding Jacket is again recommended but not a requirement for a test ride.
   • Riding gloves are always recommended but not a requirement for a test ride.
